My photography is a kind of ministry in that I am compelled to reflect back the beauty that folks create by being unique in their own creations, the ways they express and share those things and their gratitude for the gift they have. Very often this involves people's relationship to their environment, their stewardship.

My photography is also about my unspeakable gratitude for the restoration of my sight as a result of two cornea transplants. Before my first eye operation in 1987 my eyesight was severely limited for 15 years during which time I had to imagine the world around me. Now I just can't get enough of the real thing.
